Trade Credit Insurance Program (ttcip)

The TTCIP is a unique, cost effective Trade Credit Insurance program developed specifically for TABMA QLD members. The program has been developed, and is managed by specialist Credit Insurance Brokers IMC Newbury and is undwerwritten by QBE Trade Credit.


 

Discounts  

Members recieve discounts on functions and services provided by TABMA in addition to the savings arrangements organised. This includes training sessions, events, recruitment and hourly charge out rates for trainees and apprentices.

 

Fuel Savings  

TABMA has an excellent arrangement with both Caltex & 7-Eleven who both provide substantial discounts on Unleaded and Diesel fuels to members. Members have a facility to save over 5% on their annual fuel bill.

 

Technical Advice

Through TABMA's relationship with the Timber Development Association members can obtain expert advice on complex issues relationsto the correct use and/or specifications of timber products.

 

Industrial Relations Support

TABMA members who are part of the “TABMA/Commerce Queensland Alliance Membership” receive Commerce Queensland’s full Industrial Relations Service at a reduced rate. You can also access discounted rates for all services including legal support and advice, WH&S services and networking sessions.

 

Training

We offer a range of 1 and 2 day training courses to suit your business and help increase the knowledge and skill level of your staff. Courses include: self & time management, excellence in customer service, strategic planning, timber grading, product knowledge, managing difficult people plus much more.

 

Load Restraint DVD - In House Training  

Purchased from the WA Government this training DVD is available to borrow to conduct onsite training for staff in load restraint requirements and best practice.

Workplace Health and Safety

Members have access to all WH&S services on WH&S Audits & Assessments, Workplace Health & Safety Officers, WH&S Policies & Procedures, Rehabilitation Coordinators, Accident Investigation and Training from our preferred suppliers (fee for service). 

 

Networking Breakfasts, Events and Activities

TABMA regularly hosts various breakfasts, events and functions where guest speakers will provide an informative presentation on a current issue of relevance. These events not only provide you with important information, but give you the opportunity to network with key industry personnel.

This ‘member only’ free program has been designed to promote and acknowledge businesses that can display their compliance to a set of industry standards, based on basic good business practice and ethical trading. The Queensland Timber Industry Awards

The Queensland Timber Industry Awards, hosted by TABMA is THE premier event in Queensland, recognizing Excellence, Innovation and Commitment to our industry. Held every two years, the Awards are designed to promote the value and significance of the timber industry by celebrating the achievements and giving due recognition to companies who have displayed an outstanding contribution to the timber industry in Queensland.

 

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of TABMA consists of representatives from most sectors of the industry and meet bi-monthly. This means that the association is actually controlled by the industry, with all decisions involving the association being made by its members. TABMA members can participate on the Board of Directors to represent members/sectors on industry matters

 

Machinery Purchase / Lease - Ntp Forklifts

Computer Training - Odyssey Training

An investment in training is an investment in the future of your staff and company.  Through our partnership with Odyssey Training, TABMA Queensland members receive 5% off scheduled courses delivered throughout Queensland.  They are currently developing their online training services, which will allow participants direct access to computer training in regional areas through Queensland (available early 2010).

 

 

Senior First Aid Training - Australian Surf Lifesaving Queensland

 

ALAQ will give a 10% discount for TABMA Queensland members who book any training course with them.  Additionally TABMA Queensland will be working with the ALAQ to host First Aid Training courses periodically during the year.  ALAQ have streamlined their training process so a full Senior First Aid course is one day rather than two, with theory books completed prior to the practical day of training.  CPR training is a few hours rather than an entire day.
